DELL Bios Passwort finden aber wie?
Ich habe einen gebrauchten Dell Computer bekommen. Kann aber kein neues Betriebssystem aufspielen weil ich nicht ins Bios komme. Wer kann mir helfen?

Problem:
Das BIOS Setup- oder Zugangs-Passwort des Phoenix BIOS ist nicht bekannt. Da es sich um ein Notebook handelt, ist dieses nicht mit den üblichen Tools herauszufinden und auch nicht über das Herausnehmen der CMOS Batterie zu löschen. Der Grund hierfür ist, dass das Passwort nicht wie bei PCs üblich im CMOS, sondern bei den meisten Notebooks in einem EEPROM befindet.

Diese Lösung ist am Beispiel eines Acer 5720 erarbeitet worden. Bei den meisten Notebooks gibt es eine Art Jumper mit der Bezeichnung „J1″, die Bezeichnung kann auch variieren. Dieser Jumper befindet sich häufig leicht zugänglich, sodass keine Garantie beim Setzen verlorengeht. Oft findet er sich unter dem Akku, in diesem Beispiel befindet er sich unter dem Arbeitsspeicher. Die Abdeckung hierfür muss nur entfernt und der Speicher herausgenommen werden

BIOS-Passwörter auf Notebooks löschen
Wenn Sie ein Notebook besitzen, dann hilft es meistens nichts das CMOS zu löschen, denn auf Notebooks ist i.d.R., als Diebstahlschutz, ein zusätzlicher (winziger, versteckter) IC-Baustein integriert, der das Passwort enthält. Einige Hersteller hinterlegen das Passwort zusätzlich noch auf einem versteckten Festplattensektor. Abhilfe schafft hier meistens nur ein direkter Kontakt des Herstellersupports, und dem Nachweis eines Kaufbelegs, dass das Notebook von Ihnen rechtmässig erworben wurde. Je nach Hersteller muss man dann nur die Seriennummer des Notebooks durchgeben und man erhält (in vielen Fällen sogar kostenlos) ein individuelles Masterpasswort zum Entsperren des Notebooks. Bei einigen Herstellern ist es leider nicht kostenlos, und andere Hersteller bieten sogar nur den Austausch des Notebook-Mainboards an - was dann richtig teuer wird!

Habe ein Bios Passwort gesetzt welches auch bekannt ist.
Mein Problem ist, dass ich es jetzt entfernen möchte.
Wenn ich ins Bios wechsel kann ich jedoch nicht auf das entsprechende Menü wechseln. unter der Spalte Security kann ich nur ein anderen Passwort erstellen.
Wieso komme ich nicht auf das entsprechende Menü drauf?Scheint so als ob es ausgeblendet ist. Mit den Pfeiltasten kann ich jedenfalls nicht drauf.
Weiss jemand was es damit auf sich hat?

Ich habe mir bei ebay für gut 100,- ein Dell Latitude C610 im schlachtreifen Zustand gekauft (mehr Innereien draussen als drinnen).
Nach gut 1h rumtüddeln läufts jetzt wieder, dummerweise hats ein BIOS Passwort.
Ich weiss, dass es bei Dell 2 Möglichkeiten gibt dieses Passwort zu löschen:
1. Ein Tool, was anhand des individuellen Service Tags ein Masterkennwort erstellt - hab da leider nur ein altes Tool für 5stellige STs gefunden.
2. Ein kleiner Chip auf der Rückseite des Mainboards muss mit einer Büroklammer berührt werden, was ebenfalls das BIOS-Kennwort löscht.
(3. Einen neuen ServiceTag Chip einlöten, das will ich aber nu wirklich nicht)
Zweites konnte ich leider nirgendwo genau bei google finden - bei ebay gibts die Anleitung zu kaufen, will ich aber nicht unbedingt, wenns nicht sein muss.
Wäre super, wenn mir hier jemand helfen könnte - wäre schade um das Gerät, hat schließlich noch Garantie und nen P3m mit 1200Mhz ist ja auch nicht gerade schlecht...
